Josh Terry is the owner and operator of Chasin' Tails Guide Service, serving anglers throughout the Rogue River and Southern Oregon. His passion for fishing began at just six years old while spending time on the water with his father. That early introduction sparked a lifelong goal of becoming a professional fishing guide, and by age 19, Josh had already begun guiding. Today, with more than 20 years of experience, he enjoys introducing both first-time anglers and seasoned fishermen to the incredible salmon and steelhead fisheries that make Southern Oregon so well known.

As a trusted Rogue River fishing guide, Josh has spent decades learning the seasonal movements of Chinook salmon, Coho salmon, steelhead, trout, rockfish, and lingcod across the Rogue River, Umpqua River, Elk River, Sixes River, Chetco River, and Smith River. He is a licensed US Coast Guard Master, a registered Oregon Fishing Guide, and carries full insurance to ensure every trip is conducted professionally and safely. Guests fish aboard Josh's 23-foot Willie Predator aluminum power boat, equipped with a dependable 225 HP Mercury engine capable of cruising up to 45 MPH, providing quick access to productive fishing areas. For smaller groups and technical river sections, he also operates two 17-foot Willie drift boats that are perfect for quietly navigating the Rogue River's legendary salmon and steelhead waters. Using premium Chrome Seeker Custom Rods and Shimano reels, every trip is designed to provide a comfortable, productive, and memorable day on the water with one of Southern Oregon's most experienced fishing guides.
